Scope of Work: MCM is proud to have delivered this prestigious project through the Construction Managerat-Risk delivery method. This is a K-8 facility designed within the context of a ‘school-within-a-school’ concept to house 1,642 student stations within a 2.1 acre campus that featured a near-zero lot line. The school totals nearly 145,000 SF, and the project scope also included the construction of a separate, 3-story precast parking garage. The new school is comprised of: a 4-story classroom building housing art, science and computer labs; a 2-story administration building; and a cafetorium and media center building with a complete kitchen and working stage. Additionally, a separate 3 story pre-cast parking garage was built providing 145 faculty parking spaces and shelter for physical education activities. Construction of this project included the tilt-up of several 4-story, 96ft panels that, at the time, were the tallest panels on any Miami-Dade County project.
